Ms. Hope And The Reason Not To Give Up
She had lost hope
She felt no one was there
To hug her
To love Her
To tell her they care
Understandably so
When your on your knees
When your Praying for air
“Answers please!” she begs
Her Mind crying
People stare
Looking at this poor girl
How do we sometimes get there?
Why do times get so lonely?
Why does it get so dark?
She says with a whisper and With the slightest of breath
"Why don't they love me?"
"Why can't they see?"
"I can't do this alone"
She cries
She Repeats
Her life
She felt
She Said
"I lost"
No light
No spark
How does a candle burn without a flame?
No match
No air
There is no blame
Just Start at the start
Just Forget the end
There has to be something there
To hold onto
To remind herself that she does have worth
That she's beauty full
You gotta know
You do have soul
Please just listen to me
You do have value
Please Hold on
And don't give up
As you crawl
As you cry
And you pick yourself up
Just remember there's lots of us here
We just get lost
We Just get stuck
This is Engineered City
We are all here for you
Now get some rest
There’s so much more
Much more to do
Mr. Past And The building Of lost Memories
One of the first inhabitants in Engineered City was that of Mr. Past and Ms. Future. Like all those that had come to Engineered City however, he was someone else long before he became so lost and heartbroken. Mr. Past remembers most of what came before his metamorphose but his memories began to crumble and fade with time. At this moment Mr. Past was currently consumed with one building and a very special building at that.
This particular structure was the same one he walked into as a normal man when he first arrived in this great and very special city. He opened the front door, stepped inside and closed his eyes to prepare for what was about to take place. You see, Mr. Past had to let go of all those memories that were holding him back, for at times they would bring him great joy and other times….great longing and sadness. He sat on his knees in the center of the lobby and slowly began rocking back and forth as he once did as a child to calm his mind when it would feel broken.
With one deep and painful act, Mr. Past had reached in himself and took all of that joy, love and pain from his life and held it in his hands. All of his memories slowly began to appear in front of him as small and innocent children… but with sad and empty eyes. Mr. Past looked at these memories and cried one last time for he no longer could bare to be reminded that at one time in his life he had it all. With a very sad and heavy heart he simply and ever softly said “I am so very sorry…please forgive me" and he walked away into the world he had lived before of loneliness and despair.
As Mr. Past made his way outside, he took one more look behind him and saw faces of confusion on each memory and had hoped that the one day they would all understand that he simply could not take being reminded anymore of the life he once lived. As Mr. Past made his way down the streets of Engineered City, back inside “The building of Lost Memories” the newly abandoned had gathered together and held each other and cried and wondered why he left them....
As the night began to approach and the sun was replaced by the moon, they all cried and simply disappeared.
